The Tomb of Annihilation
Session 6
Dahc Beats Thrain, Party Cracks Ancient Temple
2026-06-04 · 2h 18m
“The party kicked off the session aboard their river boat with a comedic duel between Dahc Doorblack and Thrain Saltbeard Deepcurrent, settled by Eku after a ring dispute — Dahc won decisively with Guiding Bolt and a spiritual weapon. A random encounter with a tribe of grippli toll-collectors was resolved peacefully when Oak Bearsweat wild-shaped into a giant toad and Bob Smith offered the earring from the abandoned village woman. The party arrived at the ruined Camp Righteous, explored tattered tents and a mysterious burnt shrine, and befriended a young orphaned bird waiting for parents who may never return. Venturing into the statue cave, the party navigated a collapsing floor trap, a hallway of swinging axe traps solved by carrying one another on their backs per Eku's crocodile legend, and a fire-tile puzzle before claiming a pristine magical jug from atop a central pillar — escaping as the temple crumbled around them. The session ended on a cliffhanger as Eku stood rigid on the boat, her eyes silently warning the party of an unseen threat.”
