Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CritSheet ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

CritSheet is a session-tracking tool for tabletop role-playing games. It allows Dungeon Masters to log session statistics, generate sports-style box scores, and share recaps with their players. The Service includes audio transcription, AI-assisted stat extraction, player profiles, and campaign leaderboards.

3. User Accounts

To create campaigns and log sessions, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you upload to CritSheet, including audio recordings, session notes, and player information. By uploading content, you grant CritSheet a limited license to process and store that content for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary rights to any content you upload, including recordings of gaming sessions involving other people. Do not upload content that violates any applicable law or the rights of others.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Upload malicious code or content designed to disrupt the Service
  • Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk
  • Impersonate any person or entity

6. AI Features and Accuracy

CritSheet uses artificial intelligence to transcribe audio and extract session statistics. These features are provided as a convenience tool. AI-extracted data may contain errors and should always be reviewed before being saved. CritSheet makes no guarantees about the accuracy of AI-generated content.

7. Public Content

Box scores, player profiles, and campaign leaderboards are publicly accessible by design — this is core to the sharing functionality of the Service. By saving session data, you acknowledge that it will be viewable by anyone with the link. Do not include sensitive personal information in fields intended for public display.

8. Service Availability

CritSheet is provided "as is" without any guarantee of uptime or availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to preserve user data, but cannot guarantee against data loss.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CritSheet and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of material changes.

11. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms, please reach out through the contact information provided in the Service.
