“The party opened the night under the Glowering Moon facing a Golden Calf idol, which Darren famously took by the horns, grappled to the ground, and was subsequently swallowed by before Azquireth's thorn whip tripped it into the fountain to end the fight. After harvesting hundreds of gold pieces from the calf's body and stashing it in the Omniternal's old cellar, the party encountered a biblically accurate Ophanim angel that nearly disintegrated Tavaria from full health in a single hit, forcing a tactical retreat while saving a handful of civilians. The group then raced to the city wall on Azquireth's elk-back to repel a swarm of mechanical rototiller locusts, with Deacon delivering the killing blow by riding one and collapsing it from within. As the moon finally began to wane and the party limped home, a chained, masked, four-winged gray-skinned angel landed before them — and Deacon recognized her golden, weeping eyes as his own mother's.”
